“Compare and Contrast”
{Isaiah 52:13-53:12}
What was the main point of the sermon? (God’s ways are mysteriously paradoxical, brutally honest, and painfully beautiful). Reflect on each of these descriptions of God’s ways. Where do you see each of them in the text? Which one stands out to you most?
In the sermon, Pastor Matt said that if we are honest with ourselves, we don’t like the world God has placed us in, the people he has put in our lives, and the circumstances he has put us through. How have you experienced this dissatisfaction? What can we do to overcome it?
How do we willfully and purposely stray from God? What is God’s solution to our wandering?
The glory of the Christian message is not just forgiveness but also transformation. In this Holy Week, what can we do to reflect on the pardoning and delivering work of Christ on the cross?
